What's Going Around: June 15, 2011
East Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Doctors report lots of sore throats going around this week.
Brighton Pediatrics in Syracuse says strep is the big thing this week, but other children are coming in with allergy symptoms.
Strep throat is also going around in Cicero. Dr. Terasaka says there's also a stomach bug making the rounds there and fifth disease. Children with allergies are having a hard time there.
In Liverpool, sore throats are going around but they're viral and not strep. Dr. Dracker also checks in with allergies and bug bites.
In Auburn, they're seeing both strep throat and viral sore throats. They've had patients with sinusitis and allergies.
Dr, Carguello says people with allergies are suffering in Pulaski and others have sinus infections. He's also seen quite a few rashes.
