East Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Lots of children aren't able to enjoy this last week of school because they have a virus.

Dr. Terasaka says there's a virus going around with symptoms of fever and sore throat in Cicero. He's also seeing the stomach bug while other children have a cough.

In Liverpool, Dr. Dracker checks in with poison ivy and that same summer virus. A lot of babies also have a respiratory illness with wheezing and cold symptoms.

In Syracuse, Brighton Pediatrics says ticks are sending people into the office. People are finding ticks on their kids who've been playing outdoors. That office is also seeing sore throats and allergy symptoms.

Dr. Carguello in Pulaski is also seeing lots of people with tick exposure, sinus congestion and poison ivy.

Sinusitis, bronchitis and earaches are being reported in Auburn.

What's Going Around is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
