Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- As we begin the month of August, some typical summer illnesses are going around.

In Camillus, Dr. Rovall is seeing lots of coxsackie virus. The virus appears as a rash on the hands, feet and body, but not the typical blisters in the mouth, which is good because that's what makes coxsackie painful. The virus often goes away on its own in about a week.

Coxsackie is also going around in Liverpool. Doctor Dracker says other children just have a fever. Bronchitis is also going around and lots of kids are miserable with poison ivy.

In Cicero, Doctor Terasaka is also seeing the virus that causes just a fever. The stomach bug is also going around and kids are complaining of ear pain from swimmers ear.

The stomach bug is also making its rounds in Syracuse. Brighton Pediatrics also checks in with ear pain from swimmers ear.

Finally, in Auburn, a couple of viruses are going around. One is causing stomach aches; the other is causing ear aches.
