Geddes (WSYR-TV) – It’s always a big draw and this weekend, the Syracuse Nationals returns to the New York State Fairgrounds. It’s expected to draw thousands of classic car enthusiasts.
The weekend-long event broke previous attendance records in 2009, welcoming 80,000 fans during the three day event and over 7,100 show cars. This year, a few hundred more are registered for the event.
The participants come from all across the country, as far away from Florida and California.
The thousands of vintage cars line the streets of Syracuse early Friday morning waiting to enter the Fairgrounds for the massive car event.
The gates open from 8am until 9pm Friday and Saturday and 8am until 3pm on Sunday.
Tickets for entry are $17 for adults and $8 for children under 12.
