The List: Great movie heroes
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Every great movie has a hero, but that doesn't mean that every hero is a great character.
The American Film Institute recently ranked what it considers the greatest movie heroes of all time and the NewsChannel 9 morning team took the time to break it down.
William Kane from "High Noon" made the List at number five and Rick Blaine from "Casablanca" entered the top five at number four. The institute selected James Bond in "Dr. No" for its number three spot and Indiana Jones made the List at number two for "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
The top movie hero of all time, according to the institute, was Atticus Finch from "To Kill a Mockingbird."
