Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Food Network star Guy Fieri will be making an appearance at the State Fair on Wednesday, but he’s also been spotted filming his show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives at restaurants in Central New York. This week, he spent some time at Byblos Café on Clinton Street in downtown Syracuse.

Fieri’s day job is eating his way across the country, pulling over along the way to profile the best Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

Byblos Café says they were overwhelmed when they were picked to be on the show. They say the crew spent two, 12-hour days filming, as their kitchen was transformed into a studio with lots of cameras and cooks.

Over the years, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives has stopped at hundreds of restaurants all over the country. The half-hour show typically features a few spots in each city, focusing on small local eats that have a big following.

Food Network isn’t letting on as to where Fieri will end up next, but a sign outside Eva’s on MIlton Avenue in Solvay shows he was there too.

Food Network likes to keep details of what goes on inside the kitchen wrapped up, so we’ll have to tune in to see what other CNY restaurants end up on the show. The episode will air on the Food Network within the next few months.
