GEDDES, NY (WSYR-TV) - 103,197 people squeezed in through the turnstiles at the New York State Fair on Sunday.

The total is up 21,619 from this day last year. A major reason for the increase is a free concert at Chevy Court by country stars, The Band Perry.

Known for hits like "If I Die Young" and "All Your Life", the concert was expected to draw between 20,000 and 25,000 for just the concert alone.

State Fair Director Dan O'Hara said before the show, "We kept The Band Perry as a surprise.  It's the last Chevy Court band we announced and we knew it was going to draw a big crowd and we're excited about it."

Sunday's attendance was the highest for the Fair in 2012.
