Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- There’s just 16 more days until the Great New York State Fair and we have some good news for those hoping to sink their teeth into some freshly roasted corn. Shukkers will be back for its 17th year.
Last year, the popular stand was shut out of the Fair because of confusion over its vendor renewal application. Shukkers’ owner, Vito Buccina, told NewsChannel 9 that it got lost in the mail. He didn’t realize until it was too late and the Fair was under the impression Shukkers wasn’t returning. Shukkers was forced to apply as a new vendor, but due to overcrowding, the Fair wasn’t able to offer them a location.
Things are back to normal this year and you’ll be able to taste that signature spicy butter once again. You’ll find Shukkers in Restaurant Ally across from the sheep.
