Geddes (WSYR-TV) – The New York State Fair has announced its newest novel food item to be featured on the menu at this year’s event.
One year after the Big Kahuna Donut Burger appeared at the Fair, it will now be complemented by the Big Kahuna Donut Dog.
The unique offering consists of a maple glazed long john donut around a bacon-wrapped hot dog.
Other culinary oddities featured at the Fair include Tikki Turtle’s fresh-ground hamburger topped with fried macaroni and cheese, while Deep Fried Specialties will have such new offerings as deep-fried lasagna, deep-fried fluff and banana sandwiches, deep fried brownies, deep fried peanut butter, and deep fried jelly beans.
The State Fair begins Aug. 23 and runs through Sept. 3.
