Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – State Police have arrested two people who they say admitted to stealing a wallet and then using the credit card to purchase items at stores around Central New York.

State Police said they were tipped off to the suspect by a person who recognized him after watching NewsChannel 9’s On The Lookout segment.

According to police, Brandon Cardinell admitted that he stole the wallet. His friend, Secoya Stanford, also admitted that she was involved, police say.

They were charged with multiple counts of forgery in the second degree, falsifying business record in the first degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, and other charges.
