Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Cayuga County Sherriff’s Deputies say the man who was caught on tape stealing jackets from Dick’s Sporting Goods Aurelius has been apprehended in Syracuse. Richard D. Kellam was caught during the investigation into another robbery at Carousel Center.

Deputies say Kellam has also been on the run from New York State Parole for nearly two weeks after seeing himself on On The Lookout.

Deputies say the larceny at Carousel Center turned into a robbery investigation because there was a weapon involved.

Kellam is currently jailed at the Justice Center on charges filed by Syracuse Police.

Aurelius, Cayuga Co. (WSYR-TV) – Sheriff’s Deputies have released photos and video of the suspect they believe stole approximately 10 North Face jackets from the Dick’s Sporting Goods store from Aurelius, in Cayuga County.

Investigators say the incident took place around 6pm on October 29. Police say the suspect entered the store, removed approximately 10 North Face jackets from racks and exited without paying for the jackets. Sheriff’s Deputies estimate the value at over $1,000.

Authorities say the same suspect entered the store again on November 4th at approximately the same time and began to look at North Face jackets again. Investigators say the store employees warded him off and the subject left the store without incident.

The suspect was seen leaving in a silver-colored sporty sedan.

Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking to identify the man, and are asking you to review the video and still photos.
