Cicero (WSYR-TV) - Cicero Police have arrested two suspects accused of breaking car windows to steal from cars in parking lots.
Police say they received a call from a couple who spotted the suspects' vehicle in the DeWitt Wegmans parking lot; from there, police were able to track down the name of the car's owner, and started their search for the suspects.
Wednesday, the Cicero Police were called to the Cobblestone Square Apartments regarding a suspicious vehicle and two suspicious males walking in the parking lots.
An officer arrived within one minute of receiving the complaint. He located the vehicle -- a white Buick with no hubcaps -- and subjects trying to drive away. They were identified as Jesse Jimenez and Thomas Jimenez, and together with their car were recognized as the wanted persons in the car break-ins that occurred Saturday night.
Both subjects were arrested for possession of burglary tools and petit larceny. Both admitted to the car break-ins over the weekend that occurred at Wal-Mart, Target, Copper Top, and Buffalo Wild Wings.
Additional charges will be lodged, pending further investigation.

Cicero (WSYR-TV) - Cicero police are asking you to be On the Lookout for thieves who are smashing car windows to get at your stuff. While thefts from unlocked cars are common, this is the first time in a long time Cicero police have seen this many cars damaged within a few blocks of each other.
First, Cicero police want to alert neighbors about thefts from unlocked cars over the weekend, in areas west of Route 11 on Crabtree Lane and Route 31. This is an easy one to prevent: Don't leave valuables in your car, and lock up at night.
The smash-and-grab thefts all happened over the weekend in store parking lots in the East Circle Drive area, including Target, Wal-Mart, Buffalo Wild Wings, and the Coppertop Tavern – and the suspects were Caught on Tape.
One surveillance video shows two men in a white car, cruising into the Target store parking lot in Cicero Saturday night. Police say they were there to do some shopping -- but not inside the store. Instead, they did some window shopping in the parking lot.
“In watching this Target store video, you can see how they looked at 30 different cars before they picked one to break into. I would assume they were looking to see what was inside. They don't want to draw attention and smash windows when they don't see an item they may want,” says Cicero Police Investigator James Meyers.
“This was a big night. They hit a lot of cars, a lot of merchandise and a lot of people's property from these cars,” Meyers says.
Police believe the getaway car may be a 2000 to 2006 model Buick Century, and it’s missing hubcaps.
Police are unable to make out the license plate from the video.
If you have any information to solve this case, you're asked to call Meyers at 699-3677, ext. 18.
