Cicero (WSYR-TV) - Cicero Police are hoping that the public can help then solve two drugstore shoplifting cases.
The first shoplifter was actually
caught on tape stealing from the Kinney Drug location on Thompson Road twice. He carried his own bags into the store, filled them with items and walked out quickly to a light blue SUV. On one trip, he got away with 18 bottles of Robitussin. The man wears a goatee, glasses and a gold watch on his left wrist.
The other shoplifting case happened on Route 31 in Bridgeport.
The suspect was Caught on Tape stealing energy drinks from the Kinney Drug location there. He doesn't bother with bags, he just stuffed the cans into his pockets.
Update: This suspect surrendered to police on Friday, June 17. It is arrest number 208 for OnTheLookout.net.
Cicero Police say they want to solve these two crimes because shoplifting hurts everyone. Drug store items are expensive enough, without having to charge more to compensate for stolen items.
"It's a loss for the business. It hurts the business and we don't want people in the stores thinking they are going to do this, and get away with this, even if they are small dollar crimes," said Cicero Police Investigator Jim Meyers.
