Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Purses are a hot fashion item. So hot, in fact, that some Coach purses are being stolen from the mall.
Police say two men (pictured) worked together on two separate occasions at Destiny USA. One man distracted employees, while the other man runs into the store, grabs the purses and runs out. Three purses, valued at more than $1,000 were stolen on June 11 and then again just last week.
The suspects were caught on tape and Syracuse Police are hoping you can help them identify the suspects.
“Perhaps [you] know someone. People with a Jamaican accent, one with a heavy build, the other with a light build. A 20 and 40-year-old hanging out together, which may be unusual,” said Syracuse Police Sergeant Gary Bulinski.
Police say the pair stole four purses, worth more than $1,100. Take a good look at the attached surveillance photos. If you can help police identify the suspects, call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
