Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Police have released surveillance video of two men who broke into Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle’s campaign office a couple of weeks ago.

Police are hoping you can help locate and identify the suspects.

With the cameras rolling one of the burglars gets right to work at the office building on Erie Boulevard East, and he’s in no hurry. He can be seen picking locks and kicking in doors.

Police say after he makes his way into three offices, including Buerkle’s campaign office, he comes out with electronics, including laptops and big screen TVs.

The next night, police say the man returned with a partner.

“These guys are pretty confident that they were in the building and they weren’t going to be detected,” said Syracuse Police Sgt. Tom Connellan.

But, Connellan said the burglars were wearing distinctive clothing, which could help the case.

“They have some pretty distinctive clothing, camouflage. One has a jacket with some stripes on it, the shoulders. If people take a good look at that, we’re going to figure out who these guys are,” Sgt. Connellan said.

In addition to the electronics that were stolen, the men also made off with a printer and a pair of reading glasses.

If you have any information that could help police in this case, call 442-5222.
