Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police tell us they're making progress and following up on several leads in the case involving a wild spending spree with a stolen credit card.

Syracuse Police say they still don't know who they are, but they do know that two "Caught on Tape" suspects like to shop – a lot.

Detectives have heard from several of you and are hoping you can help them identify two women who went on a wild spending spree using someone else’s credit card.

The women, who look like they could be high school or college students, were caught on tape using the victim’s credit card at a number of places, including Carousel Center. The pair bought about $700 worth of makeup at Sephora’s. They also bought a lot of things at Victoria’s Secret, including the “Pink” shirt one of the women is seen wearing in the surveillance video. She put it on right after she purchased it.

The shopping spree lasted four days – from March 30 to April 2 – and included a trip to Shoppingtown Mall, liquor stores and lots of clothing stores.

“They used the card 42 times, at 28 different locations, ringing up a $6,000 bill,” Syracuse Police Sergeant Tom Connellan said. “The victim is a local high school student, and these two found the card, and decided to go on a shopping spree. We're confident if people take a really good look at the video...our phones are going to be ringing off the hook.”

Take a look at the attached video (Mobile Video). If you recognize either of the women, or both, call police at 442-5222. If they’re caught, they face serious charges, including forgery.
