Police now looking for 1 person in baseball-glove theft

Auburn (WSYR-TV) – State Police have narrowed their search to one man they believe was involved in the theft of several baseball gloves at a Dick’s Sporting Goods location in Auburn.

The man they’re looking for was “Caught on Tape” pushing a stroller carrying a 2-year-old on Friday, Feb. 24.

Police estimate more than $1,700 worth in baseball gloves were stolen from the store. Four Wilson "A2000" baseball gloves and four Rawlings "Heart of the Hide" gloves were stolen.

Two others police initially suspected in the caper – a younger man and a woman – are no longer suspects.
