Prior to Kevin Howard's arrest
Clay (WSYR-TV) – There is a lot of concern about our Fugitive of the Week: Kevin Howard. Officers suspect he's up to no good. They caught him with drugs in an apartment building in Clay.
Troubled by all the comings and goings, some people living in the apartment building decided to tip sheriff's narcotics investigators off.
It was the kind of traffic that detectives felt warranted an investigation. They gathered enough evidence to arrest Howard as he was coming out of an apartment. Howard is accused of illegally possessing prescription painkillers, and failing to appear in court on charges.
“Mr. Howard has other charges in his past concerning burglaries. We find that people with addictions, end up breaking into homes in areas that aren't used to seeing that,” says Joe Ciciarelli, an investigator.
Deputies almost caught Howard . They got a tip he was living at the Red Carpet Inn in Mattydale. When they went to check on him, he had just checked out.
“He could possibly be with a female companion. We’re not sure who that person is, so if anyone has information on who she is, or where he is, we would appreciate a phone call,” Ciciarelli says.
They’ve also checked addresses in Bayberry. There are indications Howard may still be in the Mattydale area.
Howard is 5’11, has a medium build and weighs 150 pounds. If you have any information, give the fugitive task force a call on their anonymous tip line, it's 473-7625.
