Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police have arrested Sara Dunn, a woman accused of stealing from her friend to support an alleged drug habit.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Fugitive of the Week Sara Dunn has spoken to Syracuse Police, but told them she wouldn't turn herself in.
Dunn is doing a good job of hiding, but Police are hoping the public will help find her.
With no place to go, Sara Dunn turned to a friend for a place to stay. According to police, Dunn took advantage of the hospitality, and now she's wanted for burglary.
"When that person was away, she went to an area of the residence she was not supposed to be in and stole items from the person who allowed her to stay there," said Sgt. John Savage of the Syracuse PD Warrant Squad.
Arrested 19 times, there is no violence in Dunn's criminal history, but there are drug arrests. According to detectives assigned to her case, Dunn is the type of person who will beg, borrow and steal to support her drug habit
"It appears that she has developed a drug problem, this is the root of her crimes to get money for her habit," Sgt. Savage said. "If past experiences are anything, it will continue to get worse as she looks to feed her drug habit."
Dunn also goes by the name Sara Trani. She's 5' 5" tall, weighs 160 pounds, has blonde hair and green eyes. In a recent phone conversation with a Syracuse detective, she told him she's not about to turn herself in.
Anyone with information about Dunn's whereabouts is asked to call 442-5230. All calls will remain confidential.
