Previous Coverage

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – He was caught driving a stolen car just before Christmas, and has already done time for assault, burglary and robbery. Now, the Fugitive Task Force is asking for your help top find John Lasnicki, to book him on new charges.

He’s eluded authorities up until now.

In December, Camillus police say they caught 48-year old Lasnicki driving a stolen car. It’s not the only charge he's facing.

After he made bail on the stolen car charge, police learned that in November, Lasnicki got his hands on a stolen credit card. He's accused of using that card at four different banks to drain the victim's account.

Lasnicki has been charged in the past with burglary, assault, robbery. Joe Ciciarelli, the Task Force Supervisor, said he wouldn’t be if Lasnicki was doing the same thing.

The ATM card was stolen in the town of Salina, but Lasnicki has spent a lot of time on Syracuse's West Side.  The Fugitive Task Force has checked all of his old and his current listed address, the Rescue Mission. So far, there has been no sign of him.

“Everyone should be aware he could even be doing part time jobs, going into homes, getting the layout of a house, getting ATM cards, and using those for his own monetary gain,” Ciciarelli said.

Lasnicki is a tall man, measuring six one, with a medium build. He weighs 175 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.
