Fugitive of the Week: Antonio Scavone, parole violator

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The fugitive task force is hoping to get a lot of calls on possible locations for the fugitive of the week. Antonio Scavone Is a man with a violent past and a history of drug use, and Police are asking for your help to catch him. Scavone served time in prison for attempted robbery. He wasn't out of for very long before a warrant was issued for violating the conditions of his parole. Joe Ciciarelli, Fugitive Task Force Supervisor, says “He has no means of support. He may fall back into the situation where he may attack somebody to get money” That is exactly what he did in 2007 when he broke into a home on valley drive and hurt his victim with a pair of scissors. “We look at Mr. Scavone as being a danger because of his prior history. It concerns us because we don't know what he's now doing,” Ciciarelli said. Scavone was at the Rescue Mission and he's known to frequent Syracuse's north side, especially Butternut Street. “Since we have no viable address right now, we need the viewer's help,” Ciciarelli said. “We have a certain amount of people covering a wide area, and without the help of your viewers, some of these people might never have been brought to justice.” Scavone also goes by the name Tony Colon, and "Stiffy." he's six-two, 230 pounds has brown eyes and black hair. His arrest record shows 16 prior arrests including four violent felony arrests. They really want to find Scavone, and they need your help.
