Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- This weeks Fugitive of the Week is a woman accused of assault.
Syracuse Police say back in June, Chantelle Brown was in the 600 block of East Division Street when she got angry at her brother’s girlfriend and punched her several times in the face.
Sergeant John Savage with Syracuse Police told NewsChannel 9 the assault didn't stop there, "After she got done doing that, she pulled a knife and stabbed her in the leg, causing a large laceration as well."
Brown is wanted for felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Police have been trying to find her for a month now.
"We believe that she knows she is being sought by police in connection with this assault, so she is actively trying not to be found," Sgt. Savage said.
Brown was recently in Syracuse, but she has relatives in the south, so right now police aren’t sure if she's skipped town.
