Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Last week Deputy U.S. Marshals with the Fugitive Task Force missed catching this fugitive on the run by just 24 hours. Tips from NewsChannel 9 viewers placed 27-year old Troy Jackson in an apartment on Syracuse's East Side, bordering DeWitt.
They found proof he was there and now their year long search is starting all over again.
Jackson is wanted for violating his federal supervised release after serving time in federal prison on a weapons charge.
Jackson is 5' 07" and 135 pounds with brown hair and black eyes; Jackson has a gold tooth.
Deputy Marshals say he's known on the streets as Erkel because he resembles the character from the TV series Family Matters.
