Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- There are four warrants on file for this week’s fugitive.
Louis Telfair, Jr., is wanted for criminal contempt in the first degree (a felony), endangering the welfare of a child (a misdemeanor), harassment (a violation) and criminal contempt in the second degree (a misdemeanor).
Police say he hit his girlfriend in front of their one year old child.
“He caused a laceration to her lip, some swelling to her face, again all in the presence of their one year old child,” explained Sgt. John Savage with the Syracuse Police Warrant Squad.
Police say the violence has escalated and this isn’t the first time Telfair has violated an order to stay away from his girlfriend.
“He continues to violate that. He is no stranger to us, even at only 28 years old. He’s had 25 prior arrests,” Sgt. Savage continued.
The Warrant Squad is asking for your help tracking him down.
Telfair is 5’8” tall and 140 pounds. He has a tear drop tattoo on the corner of his left eye and his left eye is cloudy and bloodshot.
