Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Officials say On The Lookout’s Fugitive of the Week attempted to eat the evidence when he was busted on a college campus.
Deputy US Marshals say 33-year-old Allen Ellis has an extensive criminal history with 79 arrests since 1997, including a 36-month stint in federal prison.
Onondaga Community College security officers say the smell of marijuana drew them to Ellis' car that was parked on the campus.
“Upon further investigation, the incident started to occur where Mr. Ellis began to eat the narcotics as well as throw other narcotics out the window - methamphetamine, and ecstasy tablets,” said Joe Ciciarelli, Supervisor of the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force.
Ellis was arrested, charged, released on bail, and then was a no-show for court.
“Due to his past, we believe Mr. Ellis is probably back dealing narcotics again. We don't want him in anybody's neighborhood. We don't want him up at the schools. We've got to get him off the street,” Ciciarelli said.
He is wanted for Tampering with Evidence and Criminal Possession of Marijuana
Allen Ellis is listed by Deptuy US Marshals as:
- Five feet-nine inches tall,
- 175 pounds
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
