Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A man accused of ripping off his supervisor is in custody as of 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. State police are still on the lookout for the other fugitive of the week, accused of taking advantage of a woman he met on the internet.

Toriano King was taken into custody at the Macy’s store at Shoppingtown Mall in DeWitt. King was working the stockroom at the store and claimed he didn’t know anything about the allegations. He is accused of stealing a check from the checkbook of his supervisor when he worked at a business in Baldwinsville.

Police are once again crediting NewsChannel 9 for helping them track him down.

State Police are also on the lookout for Matthew Gallup. Police say he met his victim on the internet, got an invitation to her home, and helped himself to her car and her credit card. He is accused of using the card at a Mobil gas station on James Street.

Lysander (WSYR-TV) - State Police say one man ripped off an office supervisor and the other suspect took advantage of a woman he met on the internet.

Toriano King has an extensive criminal past that includes assault, harassment and drug charges. According to State Police, a temporary employment agency placed him in an office in Van Buren, where he ripped off his supervisor.

When the supervisor wasn't around, King allegedly went into her purse and stole a check from the middle of her checkbook.

Norm Ashbarry, State Police Warrant Squad investigator, says it’s a common practice - not only with checks, but also with credit cards.  "If a wallet is stolen, sometimes one credit card from the middle of several is taken, so when the wallet is recovered the person doesn't notice it right away.”

Police say after King forged a $300 check, he disappeared.  He's lived on West Onondaga, Gifford and Sheridan Streets in Syracuse, and he has connections in Troy.   He's 5’ 9” and weighs 200 pounds and also goes by the name Jefferson Tito.

State Police are also on the lookout for Matthew Gallup. Police say he met his victim on the internet, got an invitation to her home, and helped himself to her car and her credit card.

Surveillance video at a Mobil gas station on James Street shows one of the stops he made where he allegedly used the card.

”We have no reason to believe he's not living in Syracuse.  He bounces around a lot and goes from friend to friend and steals from friends and acquaintances,” says Ashbarry.

Matthew Gallup's last known address was James Street in Syracuse. He's 5’ 8” and about 225 pounds. He has a tattoo on his left wrist that says 'Lil Matt'.
