20-year-old assault victim dies at hospital
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police say a 20-year-old assault victim has died from his injuries.
Police responded to the 100 block of Wood Avenue at around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday where they found Geoffrey Scott III lying unconscious in the street.
Witnesses told police that Scott was fighting with multiple people before police arrived.
Scott was taken to the Upstate University Hospital in critical condition and placed on life support until Monday afternoon when he was pronounced dead.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are looking into what started a fight in the 100 block of Wood Avenue that landed a 20-year-old man in the hospital Saturday.
Geoffrey Scott III was lying unconscious in the street when police responded at about 12:30 p.m.
Witnesses tell police that Scott was fighting with multiple people before police arrived.
Police describe Scott as being in "extremely critical condition" at Upstate University Hospital Saturday night.
Police are looking for suspects.
