SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - A 4-year-old boy playing in the street was hit by a car in Syracuse on Sunday. It was the second time in two days that a young child was the victim of a hit and run in the city.

Syracuse Police say the boy suffered a leg injury and will recover.

It happened in the 200 block of Carbon Street.

Police are now on the lookout for the driver of the car who left the scene.

Witnesses describe the car as a gold, newer model that may be a Buick.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Traffic Division at 442-5151.

On Saturday, a 6-year-old boy crossing Roberts Avenue was struck by a motorcycle.

That boy is expected to be okay. The cases are not connected.
