Lenox (WSYR-TV) -- One of the victims of a residential burglary in the Town of Lenox is offering a hefty reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s).

Family heirlooms were stolen from a Madison County home last month, and there have been no solid leads on where they could be. A family is now hoping a $5,000 reward will lead to an arrest, conviction and the return of $30,000 worth of jewelry.

NewsChannel 9 first asked you to be On the Lookout for the thieves shortly after the July 22nd burglary on Weller Trak in the Town of Lennox. There were multiple burglaries that day along the Route 31 corridor.

Tracy Collins lost the most. "It's not about money or jewelry or gold," Tracy said, "This is about family and people that mean something to you. This jewelry was part of my family, and my legacy," she continued.

Neighbors told police they saw an older model, possibly a 1999 to 2004, dark blue or purple sedan, either a Hyundai or Kia. The driver looked to be in his late teens, to early 20s, white, with a thin build and dark hair.

If you have any information that could help police in this case, you're asked to call sheriff's investigators at (315)366-2429. Remember, if your information leads to an arrest, you're eligible for a $5,000 reward.

Madison County, NY (WSYR-TV) -- Madison County Sheriff’s deputies say more than $30,000 worth of jewelry and family heirlooms have been stolen from homes on Route 31, between the towns of Lenox and Sullivan.

One of the victims said jewelry was stolen from her home, much of which she can never replace.

“To me that was symbolic of the strength of the women who came before me, and I felt connected to them by that jewelry. I can't tell you what it means to me; it's irreplaceable,” victim Tracy Collins said.

Authorities are asking residents in the area to be on the lookout for anything suspicious. Anyone who notices anything out of the ordinary should call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at (315) 366-2429.
