Auburn Police arrest man for credit-card theft that was caught on surveillance images
Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Police have arrested an Auburn man who they say was caught on camera stealing a credit card from a manager’s office in a Dollar General store.
Police credited tips from NewsChannel 9 viewers in their arrest of 26-year-old Garrett Bradford of Quill Avenue.
They charged Bradford with burglary in the third degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree.
According to police, Bradford was captured on video swiping the card and then later outside a Walmart location where the card had been used shortly after its theft.
After the images appeared on OnTheLookout.net police arrested Bradford, police received a tip that led them to Bradford.
Police say they recovered some of the stolen property and also some of the property that had been purchased with the card.
According to police, Bradford said he knew they would be coming after he was profiled on NewsChannel 9 and 9WSYR.com.

Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Auburn Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man they suspect stole a credit card from a store manager’s office.
Police believe the man snuck into a manager’s office at the Dollar General location on Genesee Street in Auburn and stole the card.
They believe the same man was seen leaving an Auburn Walmart wearing a dark jacket and light colored shorts. The card had been used in the same Walmart store shortly before he was caught on surveillance video.
