Bookkeeper indicted for stealing $51k from employer

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Jessica Adi of Jordan has been indicted by an Ononadga County Grand Jury on two counts of grand larceny, and criminal possession of a forged instrument, and first degree falsifying business records.  She is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from a doctor's office she worked at in DeWitt.

DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – Police have arrested and charged a bookkeeper with stealing over $51,000 from a DeWitt medical care center.

Jessica Adi, 31, of Jordan, was arrested Friday and charged with grand larceny in the second degree, criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, forgery in the second degree, and falsifying business records in the first degree.

Police say an investigation showed Adi stole over $51,000 from the CNY Family Medical Care Center on Brittonfield Parkway in the Town of DeWitt. Adi was employed as a bookkeeper in the doctor’s office during the time of the theft.

Adi was arraigned in DeWitt Court and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $5,000 cash bail. She’s due back in court on May 6.
