DeWitt (WSYR-TV) - Car prowlers struck hard in DeWitt overnight. They smashed the windows of a dozen cars in the Watertree apartment complex and the vehicles' owners awoke to the sound of car alarms.
"He unfortunately had his work laptop stolen out of his vehicle, so I know a lot of other officers were here when I left work this morning," said Carol, whose relative's car was targeted. "They had broken out his back window on his vehicle."
In a similar crime, a car larceny suspect in the John's Landing area of Cicero was recently arrested. Cicero Police say he admitted to stealing valuables from vehicles between Whiting Road and Lake Shore Road from Sunday through Monday. Anyone who may have been a victim is asked to call Cicero Police.
