Auburn (WSYR-TV) - Fifteen minutes after releasing its Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, the No. 1 suspect on the Auburn Police list was in custody.
The Auburn Police released their list to other law-enforcement agencies on Wednesday morning and were almost immediately informed that US Marshals in Syracuse had Joseph Hares in custody.
Hares, 41, of Market Street in Auburn, was wanted on charges including forgery and possession of stolen property, both felonies; possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was arrested in the Elbridge area.
