Auburn (WSYR-TV) – The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the public’s help in solving a series of larcenies from cars.

Sheriff’s Investigators say the incidents have been reported in the towns of Cato, Ira, Victory, and Sterling since December. The most recent incident was reported on Feb. 6.

The authorities say they have taken dozens of reports.

They say money, electronics, and tobacco have been stolen from cars both in residents’ driveways and in their garages.

Witnesses have described seeing a light colored minivan – possibly a Chrysler – in the areas of the incidents.

Anyone with information that may help Sheriff’s Investigators should call (315) 253-3545 or visit www.cayugacrime.com to leave a tip.
