Cortland (WSYR-TV) – Police are looking for woman who they believe should be considered armed and dangerous after an incident involving a gun on Main Street in the city of Cortland.
Police described 26-year-old Shanessa V. Pittman as a black female who is 5-foot-6 and approximately 160 pounds with short black hair and numerous facial tattoos.
They say she may have a small caliber pistol.
Police began investigating after the incident on Aug. 30 shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Pittman is wanted on the following charges:
- Reckless endangerment in the first degree, a felony
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a felony
- Assault in the second degree, a felony
- Prohibited use of a weapon, a misdemeanor
They say she fled the scene in a tan Ford Explorer.
