Found: Both missing teens located in Rochester area

Chili (WSYR-TV) – According to Auburn Police, a second teenage female who escaped from the Cayuga Home for Children has been located in the Rochester area. Another who had escaped with her was found on Tuesday night.

Around 2:15 p.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office told Auburn Police that they had located 14-year-old Crystal Santos in the Town of Chili. Initially she denied that she was Santos, but she eventually admitted to her identity.

She is being held in Monroe County, pending a Family Court hearing regarding the incident.

Another teen, 16-year-old Emily Diamond, was located on Tuesday night.

Auburn Police are still investigating the incident and are trying to discover who helped the two teenagers during the time they were missing.

Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Auburn Police have located one of two teenagers who escaped from the Cayuga Home for Children two weeks ago. They are asking people to remain On the Lookout for the other.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Rochester Police Department notified Auburn Police that they had located 16-year-old Emily Diamond. She was held in a Rochester-area juvenile detention facility pending a Family Court appearance.

Police are still seeking 14-year-old Crystal Santos. They described Santos as a Hispanic female with long black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5-foot-2 and weighs around 126 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a “Tinker Bell” shirt and pajama bottoms with her hair in a ponytail.

Anyone with information on Santos should call a local 911 center. They can also call the Auburn Police Department at (315) 253-3231 or lead investigator Detective Patrick Shea at (315) 255-4703.

Auburn (WSYR-TV) - Auburn Police are asking you to be On the Lookout for two teens who escaped the Cayuga Home for Children more than two weeks ago. Crystal Santos, 14, and Emily Diamond, 16, are believed to have walked out of the facility when an employee left the room.

Police believe the girls may have been picked up and taken back to the Rochester area, where they have ties.

Anyone who may recognize the girls or have information regarding their whereabouts should call 911 or Auburn Police at 253-3231.
