Geneva Police searching for stabbing suspect considered ‘armed and dangerous’

Geneva (WSYR-TV) – Police are searching for a suspect accused of stabbing two people Sunday at a bar in Geneva.

Police say John W. McCoggle, 29, of Pulteney St. in Geneva should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police say the two victims were trying to break up a fight at Trotta’s Bar on Castle St. just after 2 a.m.

One victim was stabbed in the chest and taken by helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Police say the other victim was stabbed in the hand, and treated and released.
