Trenton (WSYR-TV) -- Investigators have located a stolen headstone dating back to the Civil War era from the Evergreen Cemetery in the Oneida County town of Trenton.

Sheriff’s deputies say the perpetrators meticulously placed it in the town of Western Park, near the playground.

Department of Public Works employees have returned it to the cemetery, but police still need your help tracking down the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (315) 896-2985.

Trenton (WSYR-TV) -- Investigators in Oneida County are trying to figure out who stole a headstone from the Evergreen Cemetery in the town of Trenton.

Authorities say the incident happened sometime over the Memorial Day weekend.

The suspects also knocked over a second headstone, which belonged to a veteran of three wars.
