Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies investigating burglaries
Wampsville (WSYR-TV) – Sheriffs deputies in Madison County are investigating a series of burglaries that occurred during the day on Friday, July 15.
They say items including jewelry and electronics were stolen from homes along the Route 31 corridor in the towns of Lenox and Sullivan.
They are putting the public On the Lookout for an older dark blue or purple sedan that has been described to them as either a Hyundai or a Kia. The driver has been described as a white male in his late teens or early 20s with a thin build and dark hair.
The Sheriff’s Office is telling people in Madison County to be vigilant and to make sure their homes and businesses are secure. If they leave the area for any length of time, they can request a property check from the Sheriff’s Office by going to its website.
In addition, the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who sees any suspicious activity or sees a person fitting the description of its person of interest to call (315) 366-2429.
