NewsChannel 9’s Christie Casciano honored by crime-fighting association
Albany (WSYR-TV) – The New York Gang Investigators Association recently honored NewsChannel 9 anchor and crime reporter Christie Casciano with the 2011 “Excellence in Media” Award.
Casciano accepted the prestigious award during an event at the state capitol.
A Central New Yorker nominated Casciano, submitting a series of her pieces on gang awareness to the NYGIAA.
She received the award for her work on ‘The Protectors’, ‘Crackdown on Crime,’ as well as ‘On the Lookout’
