Numerous vehicle thefts investigated in New Hartford
New Hartford (WSYR-TV) -- New Hartford police are investigating overnight thefts from vehicles in residential driveways. About 25 complaints have been filed in just the past five days, according to police.
Police say the thieves are walking from driveway to driveway between the hours of midnight and dawn, checking for unlocked car doors. They say only one of the targeted vehicles has been locked and broken into after the window was smashed.
