Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - NewsChannel 9 has new information Thursday morning on a suspected office thief who was caught with the help of OnTheLookout viewers. In addition, there is also a new Fugitive for Central New Yorkers to be On the Lookout for. Plus, DeWitt police want to make sure some stolen guns don't make it to the streets to be used in more crimes.

Fugitive of the Week: No stranger to crack cocaine

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - This week the Syracuse Police Warrants Squad is trying to track down a man who has been skipping his court appearances. Police say they caught Jamall McLaurin with crack cocaine in February. After neglecting to make his scheduled court appearances, McLaurin now has four bench warrants.

"One of the warrants is for harassment, in which he was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle accident. He ended up with a physical altercation with the other driver in the vehicle, so yes, we would consider him to be a danger," said Syracuse Police Sgt. John Savage.

McLaurin is 6-foot-2, 200 pounds and known to frequent Syracuse's South Side. The 21- year old man has been arrested 21 times.

Caught on Tape: Purse thief in hot water

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Charges are piling up for 49-year-old Eddie Gaines from Rochester. He was caught, after observant workers at North Med acted on a co-worker's hunch.

Employee Dianne Surace thought she recognized Gaines from Caught on Tape and detectives say she was right.

Gaines is now facing burglary charges in purse thefts at the Rite Aid warehouse in Liverpool, the Cardiovascular Group at North Medical, and Associates for Women's Health, on West Taft Road; and DeWitt police say charges are pending in a stolen purse case at Pyramid Brokerage on Widewaters Parkway.

Detectives say they've charged one of Gaines' partners, but they are still On the Lookout for one other Rochester woman they believe accompanied the accused purse thief.

DeWitt Police looking On the Lookout for stolen weapons

DeWitt (WSYR-TV) - DeWitt Police need help tracking down three high-powered guns and ammunition that were stolen from a home on Taylor Road.

The owner had a permit for the Intratec 9 mm handgun, the Glock 40 caliber handgun, and the Springfield Arms 9 mm.

Those who have information should call the DeWitt Police Confidential Tip Line at (315) 446-6262.
