Oswego (WSYR-TV) - Oswego Police say the 2-year-old child that was struck by a vehicle in the City of Oswego on Wednesday afternoon has died.
The child, identified as Armondo Sciacca, was flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, and died this morning.
Police say the driver of the vehicle had turned into a driveway on West Cayuga Street around 3:45pm Wednesday, when he hit Sciacca, who was located near the curb of the roadway in front of a parked vehicle.
Police say the investigation has determined that the driver was not aware of striking the child at the time of occurrence, and was unable to see Sciacca due to the child’s positioning.
No tickets have been issued in the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
