Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have arrested one suspect in an armed purse snatching that happened Wednesday night in the 200 block of Taft Ave.

Police say two women had their purses stolen by three suspects, two of which were armed.

Deoz Miller-Harris, 18, of Syracuse has been charged with robbery in the second degree.

Police described the investigation as “still very active and ongoing.”

Police say they are still investigating a possible connection to another robbery 7:30 p.m. at liquor store on North Salina Street, where the 77-year-old owner was shot in the eye.

All three suspects in the Taft Ave. robbery were described as black men, possibly in their late teens or early 20s, with thin builds. Two of the suspects were wearing dark clothing and the other was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
