Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are looking for suspects who they believe tried to rob a cab driver in the city on Monday evening.
Police say a 61-year-old cab driver picked up four black male teenagers around 6:40 p.m. at East Onondaga and South Warren streets. They told the driver they wanted to go to Thornden Park.
On the way, the victim asked for a more specific address, but the suspects wouldn’t provide it.
When the driver became suspicious of the males and made them to get out of the cab, one of the suspects approached the driver and drew a knife, demanding money.
The victim told the suspect he didn’t have any money.
The suspect is described as being 5-foot-8 or 5-9 and is approximately 16 or 17 years old.
He was last seen wearing a hooded black sweatshirt walking south on Warren Street.
