Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Rome Police Department is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of those wanted in an armed robbery on Monday.
Police say the robbery occurred at the Access Federal Credit Union on South George Street in Rome on Monday, August 19.
According to police, three black males entered the credit union at about 12:30 p.m. and two of the males displayed handguns.
Police say one of the suspects jumped over the counter and removed cash while the other two suspects kept customers at bay.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken and the suspects were seen fleeing in a charcoal colored four door sedan, possibly a Pontiac Grand Am bearing an out of state license on the rear of the car, according to police.
Officials say the vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Erie Boulevard.
Police say they would like to speak to a young couple who was pushing a baby stroller on Adams Street while the robbery was taking place.
The couple was observed talking to the suspect in the red shirt and sunglasses shown in the photo just after the robbery occurred.
