Rome Police looking for suspect who robbed pizza deliveryman

Rome (WSYR-TV) – Rome Police are investigating an incident in which a pizza deliveryman was robbed of his money, cell phone, and car.

The robbery occurred in the 800 block of Croton Street in Rome shortly before 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

The victim was trying to make a delivery near the location when he was approached by a male suspect.

The suspect implied that he had a gun before demanding the victim’s belongings and driving off. Once he was out of sight, the victim went into a residence and called police.

The victim’s vehicle was found later near the intersection of Bloomfield and North George streets in Rome.

Police say the suspect was described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old, wearing a dark colored hooded jacket and dark pants.
