Sheriff's Office investigating robbery at gas station in Clay

CLAY, NY (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery at the Sunoco gas station at 7549 Oswego Road in the Town of Clay.

Deputies responded to the gas station near Elmcrest Road at about 6:25 a.m. Sunday.

The Sheriff's Office said a white male walked into the gas station and demanded money from the clerk.  The suspect did not show a weapon.

The suspect ran off with some cash after a brief struggle with the clerk who suffered minor injuries.  He was treated at the scene.

The suspect is described as being about 5'10'' tall and weighing about 185 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black winter vest, jeans, a baseball hat and a partial winter facemask.
