Stabbing suspect arrested in Auburn
Auburn (WSYR-TV) – An Auburn man that police said may have been “armed and dangerous” has been taken into custody.
On Thursday, 21-year-old Vincent Cyr turned himself in at Auburn Police Headquarters around 9 a.m. He was arraigned and sent to Cayuga County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
A warrant for Cyr’s arrested was issued on Monday after police found his roommate at a local convenience store with his arm slashed. Police believe Cyr slashed the victim’s arm during a heated argument that escalated into a physical confrontation.

Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Auburn Police are On the Lookout for a suspect wanted in a stabbing incident that occurred Monday afternoon.
Police are looking for 21-year-old Vincent Cyr, who they say should be considered armed and dangerous. They believe Cyr is driving a black 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix with the license plate DVY9731.
He is known to frequent the Port Byron area. Police are seeking on charges including felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the area of 36 East Genesee St. after receiving a report that a 31-year-old man had been stabbed.
The victim was located at the A-Plus Mini Mart after being stabbed at a nearby residence. The victim was taken to Auburn Memorial Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed that an argument between the victim and one of his roommates – Cyr – had escalated into a violent confrontation. During the fight, Cyr brandished a knife and allegedly slashed the victim’s arm. The victim fled the apartment and ran to the convenience store for help.
