Suspicious fire investigated in Madison County

Lenox (WSYR-TV) -- Madison County authorities are looking into what they call a “suspicious” fire that happened Saturday night on Briggs Bay Road in the town of Lenox.

Authorities say a camper trailer parked on private property was fully involved when it was reported by a passer-by sometime between 9:30 and 11 p.m.

Despite efforts by Canastota and Wampsville Fire Departments, the unit was destroyed, authorities said.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to call Investigator Jamie Badgley at 366-2206. All calls will be kept confidential.
